Are you contemplating renewal within your organization and in the public service? Have you considered the graduate and student employment programs? The Public Service Commission (PSC) can assist in meeting your needs. Here is how:
Looking to fill entry-level officer positions? The Post-Secondary Recruitment Campaign!
The PSC has inventories of talented graduates within the Post-Secondary Recruitment (PSR) Program which you can access throughout the year. In addition, the 2014 Campaign will be advertised between September 11, 2014 and October 2, 2014 on jobs.gc.ca. The new inventories will be ready by the end of January 2015.
Looking to provide students with relevant experience in the public service? The Federal Student Work Experience Program!
The Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) inventory consists of talented and motivated students in varied academic disciplines from high schools, CEGEPs, colleges and universities across the country. The 2014 FSWEP Campaign will be launched on October 20, 2014 and the new inventory will be available to hiring organizations on November 10, 2014. The placement can be either part-time during an academic term or part-time and full-time during non-academic terms (e.g. during the summer).
For hiring organizations who wish to actively participate in the current and upcoming FSWEP campaigns, here are options available to you:
- Hiring organizations can obtain student referrals, at any time during the year, from the FSWEP inventory
- Hiring organizations who want to market their student jobs throughout the campaign may do so by using the “Featured Jobs” promotions outlined in the FSWEP section on our jobs.gc.ca Web site.
- For hiring organizations with specific student recruitment requirements, a unique advertisement may be posted. A candidate inventory within the broader FSWEP inventory would then be created. To post your job opportunities using this approach, please contact us before September 22, 2014.
If you have additional questions on PSR or FSWEP, please contact Amélie LaPenna or Louise Dubois, at the coordinates above.
