As part of the Public Service Commission (PSC)’s commitment to continuously improve its products and services for federal organizations, and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS)’s goal of supporting efforts across the federal public service to achieve a well managed workforce and workplace, the PSC and TBS are conducting a horizontal evaluation of the Student Employment Programs that the PSC administers on behalf of TBS. These programs are the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP), the Research Affiliate Program (RAP) and the Co-op and Internship Program (CO-OP).

For this evaluation, we intend to survey hiring managers who have used the programs, as well as human resources (HR) representatives who provide advice and guidance on their use. While the PSC has contact information for FSWEP and RAP users, it needs the assistance of departments and agencies to gain access to CO-OP user contact information, as the administration of this program is delegated to organizations.

As such, we are requesting your assistance in order to obtain the following information:

  • The e-mail address of five or more hiring managers who made the initial student hire into the CO-OP program between April 1, 2012, and August 15, 2013 (if applicable); and
  • The e-mail address of the HR representatives who generally provide advice and/or guidance to hiring managers on the use of the Student Employment Programs.

We are requesting that this information be submitted to CFP.Evaluation.PSC@cfp-psc.gc.ca by September 30, 2013.

Should you have any questions about this request, you may contact Jane Bray at jane.bray@cfp-psc.gc.ca or at 819-420-6640.

Thank you for your ongoing collaboration and support in ensuring a good survey response rate.
